The material of the friction plate on the clutch:
Asbestos-based friction materials are the key choice for brake friction lining materials. With the increasing requirements for environmental protection and safety, semi-metallic friction materials, composite fiber friction materials, and aluminum silicate fiber friction materials have gradually emerged. Common friction surface materials include powder metallurgical materials, asbestos-based materials and mountain-based materials. The following is a detailed introduction.
1. Powder metallurgical materials
The allowable temperature, allowable working pressure, friction coefficient and service life of hydraulic brake friction lining surface are high. Copper-based powder metallurgical materials are mainly used for wet test friction surfaces. Iron-based powder metallurgical materials have higher friction coefficient and allowable working pressure than copper-based powder materials, but have lower wear resistance. They are mostly used for dry test friction surfaces.
2. Asbestos-based materials
Compression moulded with asbestos plus binder and filler, the soil is on the steel or iron base plate, allowing lower temperatures during work.
3. Paper-based materials
It is made of asbestos, fiber material or a compound of the two, and then is bonded by epoxy resin after adding filler.
